An impressive pub for its three small rooms, plus lobby bar, and tilework. At the entrance is floor-to-ceiling tiling with a pair of phoenixes, the emblem of the eponymous Heywood brewery. The lobby b

Town centre local’s pub though visitors are made welcome. Good choice of well-kept beer but no food served. Overnight accommodation with six rooms (including three en suite). Large car park opposite.
