Always a good experience. The staff take great care to look after their customers. We have always been well accommodated. The food is generous and good value. The menu has some nice options especially the chicken and ham pie for me as well as great fish and chips. We regularly go for birthdays and family celebrations.
I came into the Yew tree for breakfast this morning and ordered the Berry Brioche. It was delicious and I would definitely recommend it for a lighter breakfast option. Service was quick too. Next time I visit I will definitely be eating in the lovely garden.
Staff, couldn't ask for more. Very polite and respectful. Service was great, lovely atmosphere, great choice of drinks and the food was lovely. Could not fault.
Times are hard, serve old food. Reheated minimal veg from the day before! Whoever wrote the menu, needs to understand what plural means. Cold chips. Pie was ok but lacked the Steak element! This place is okay if you like pre-cooked reheated food.
Great pub, seeped in history , originally 2 farm labourers cottages dating back to 1640. Changed to a coaching Inn in the 1800s with the later addition of a wonderful dining area. The interior is a knockout with ancient beams everywhere. Decent selection of beers and the service was attentive and prompt. Damien, the manager was a mine if information and we will return to sample the food which looked tasty. The toilets were spacious and spotless so all good.
