We stopped here for a Christmas drink, great place to sit and enjoy the festive partys in the hotel, lots going on, we sat people watching. Nice tree 🎄 in the window!

Sandwiches ok, and good coffee.. However the whole entrance area, bar area and conservatory in need of a serious update. Staff friendly, but could smarten up the 'uniform'.

Nicely situated and great staff lovely looking reception area . Room was ok had lovely view. One thing was a let down ...the mattress should belong on a 1970s metal bunk bed. I am so sorry but it was the worst I've ever slept on and I've been to some bad hotels! The springs were actually poking so much I had to use the chair and floor gave up sleep after 4 hours of trying. So sorry as everything else was great 👍 deluxe double? . Obviously my husband slept as he drinks I unfortunately don't 😅

Lovely front of house staff and really helpful. Great location BUT The condition of the room and the bed takes away all of that good. 4 paper flat pillows. Come on it’s not expensive to replace pillows. Rock hard bed Noisy bar below. Furnishings looks like it hasn’t been touched since 1890s. Sad walls sad floor. EVERY MORNING I WOKE UP FEELING MY NECK AND BACK HAS BEEN BROKEN IN TWOS! And I’m only 30! And we have to stay here for 3 painful nights. A hotel stay, can actually ruin a good island holiday, because this will be all I take away from a stay in Ryde.

We visited today on our first day on the Isle of Wight, after a slightly wet and windy morning we made our way to Ryde, and arrived about 2.30. We came across Yelf’s hotel and were greeted by very friendly staff who accommodated our party of 6 with no problem, were very welcoming and friendly, and ordered our food and drinks, even though we were cutting it fine with when the kitchen closed they were absolutely wonderful, and we had a whole conservatory area to ourselves. We were blown away when the food arrived, one of the best roast dinners we have had in a very long time! Delicious from start to finish and copious amounts of vegetables. Special mention to the staff member who was very friendly and chatty and made our children laugh! Highly recommend Yelf’s hotel for Sunday lunch, or food any day!
