The Square is the heart of the town and many of the tourist attractions of Caernarfon are only a stone’s throw away. After enjoying a leisurely lunch in our restaurant you can explore the walls of the old town and the slate quay. Behind the restaurant is the station for the Welsh Highland Railway which takes you on a journey through the National Park. The town also has numerous small shops which are within easy walking distance from the restaurant. Cyclist can benefit from the designated cycling route which stretches along the coast in one direction or into Snowdonia in the other. Fishermen and golfers are also catered for in Caernarfon with the harbour a stones throw away, and the local 18 hole golf course a 5 minute drive away.
Homecooked food served daily from 12-8pm.
Rooms at Y Castell are large and well appointed, and all have large flat screen TV's, and have either views over the Town Square, Castle or the Harbour. The Castell is a thriving Bar and Restaurant in a central location, and as such can be noisy on Friday and Saturday nights.

Disgusting xmas dinner .Looked liked someone had just thrown everything on the plate 1st thing u learn is presentation
Great food, really helpful staff and they even went the extra mile and made a smaller kids version of an adult meal for my son. Good price and portions.
Kitchen out of action. Were warned that as Saturday night that there would be local noise disturbance until 2am but didn't expect the bin lorries at 6am. For one night it was fine. Would like to try the food when cooking again.
Right in the heart of the town perfect for if ur having a night out Saturday nights are very busy so very noisy outside but for 1 night of noise I could live with it because the room is amazing and location is perfect
Great location and a nice view of the castle from the outside seating area. Barmaid could have been a little friendlier and never spoke a word while she took my drinks order. Sat outside and enjoyed the only cask ale they had to offer . Never really felt a reason for a return visit but still a nice place .
