Lovely friendly club great atmosphere for all the family and dog owners 😀.
Looks like a solicitor's from the outside. We didn't even realise it was a pub/club. Massive outdoor area and staff were great. Will come back again.
Great atmosphere...
NO DISABLED ACCESS Went in for an event, didn't know it was upstairs. They were very apologetic that there wasn't a lift and offered to help us up and down the stairs. Steps- 2 steps into the lobby, 2 up to the right door and 2 into the bar area. Then 2 sets of stairs with banisters to get upstairs to the hall with a stage and a few other rooms. They said they had tried to get some money for a lift but couldn't. There is a disabled access toilet, didn't use it so can't comment on its accessibility. Staff were lovely. For future events please say you don't have a lift if the events are upstairs for future customers.
Massive recommend from me - popped in just for the one with the dog. Everyone was really friendly, chatted with a few people (staff and customers) and took my pint out to the beer garden, which is really spacious and ideal for dogs and children! Big lawn area which is great. Quality of beer was high. Had a chat with Steven (Stephen?) who think used to be chairman - absolutely spot and excellent taste in music! Have to mention that I came in after an awful experience at a different establishment which shall remain nameless…they claim to be dog friendly but are pretty much the opposite. So it was brilliant to come to the Charles Atwood where so many people came to say hello to my dog, asking about him and even bringing him some water. If you’re in Wolsingham, you like people and you like a couple of drinks, pop in!
