Well, here we are, half way through the year in the beautiful month of June. Did you know that in years gone by you were advised not to cut your grass until St. Barnabas Day? Well I’ve had to cut mine several times and its not the 11th June yet!! Nothing from the Committee that you haven’t heard before, so I will just point out a few reminders.
1….We have a dresscode.
2….We have a foul language ban.
3….We have parking permits.
4….Non Members must be signed in and a fee paid.
5….Non Member are not allowed to play the Machines.

MIKE AND FIONA ARE AWAY AT THE MOMENT ! THEY WOULD
LIKE EVERYONE WHO WISHES TO ORDER FOOD ON SATURDAY 8TH JUNE TO ADD THEIR NAMES TO A LIST BEHIND THE BAR. THIS IS SO THAT THEY HAVE AN IDEA OF NUMBERS THE MINUTE THEY RETURN.

We will be saying Goodbye To Chelsey who will be leaving us, on 7th June. We wish her all the very best in her New Job. We Welcome back Tia (Our Little Ray of Sunshine) Tia has managed a difficult situation recently calmly and with professionalism! Well done Tia!
BOWLS
The latest from Colin….Our Men’s Teams have made a really good start in the S&D League. Our Ladies, enjoying their Tuesday Lunchtime/Afternoons get togethers and Bowls. All newcomers welcome to come along Mondays 5pm onwards. A special all day competition on Saturday 8th June with Fiona and Mike’s Barbecue from 5pm. Then on Sunday 30th, we have a ‘Home Friendly”against Twyford Bowls in the afternoon.
Quiz Night
Sue’s Quiz night has finished for the Summer but will be back in July.
ENTERTAINMENT
The Board in the Main Entrance has a full list of events for the month.
Saturday 8th June…………Summer Draw, BBQ, Live music in the Evening by Local Band…Most Wanted
Saturday 22nd June………Summer Ball with The Jays…..Order Food
Friday 28th June………….Charity Night in Aid of The Stroke Association
With Spectrum and DJ JOE.
Saturday 6th July………..Country and Western Night…..Cowboy hats in the Churchill Room.
On the Summer Ball Evening perhaps we should have a Theme……as its Summer let's have something everyone can easily do!!!!! HOW ABOUT SUMMER the colours of Summer, Flowers, Seaside anything that is SUMMER. Photo Booth will be there so make sure your Cameras are fully charged and the best Photo’s will go up in the Club.
On Friday 9th August we are (hopefully) hosting A race night…………….

Now a plea, from me!!!! If anyone would like to donate a raffle prize for the Stroke Association I would be very, very grateful. Please leave any donation behind the bar along with your name (so that we can thank you) marked FOR SANDIE. Thank you! x
Finally, this is the sad bit. We have lost quite a few friends recently. Our thoughts are with their Families and Friends.
