Excellent food as it has been each time we've been. Not a large selection of drought beers, but I always get one I enjoy. The host is always pleasant and smiling. The waitress was attentive and took our poor jokes very well. Shame it was a little quiet on the night we last visited, but it was January. If you want quality food This is place to go.
Visited last night for my partners birthday & all I can say is Wow đ€© I had a soup starter đabsolutely deliciousâŠ.salmon & venison for mains again amazingâŠexcellent service and excellent foodâŠThank you
Would definitely recommend & will definitely return! We visited the White Bear on Saturday 19th August & we must say itâs one of the best meals we have had for a very long time! The food was amazing, the service was great & all in all it was such a lovely evening. Myself & my partner had the Brie in Parma ham & the Black pudding scotch egg to start, then the Belly pork & the Fillet steak for main, then the creme brĂ»lĂ©e & chocolate & hazelnut parfait for dessert. All six dishes were absolutely delicious, we couldnât have been happier with our choices. We also had wine with our meals which was very high quality. We would 100% recommend the White Bear & will definitely be returning! Thank you to everyone at the White Bear!
Superb food and service last night but feel it all needs a freshen up especially walls, seating and toilets, hopefully this can be done soon to improve the atmosphere which felt dated and dusty. Nonetheless food couldn't have been fresher and crockery, cutlery and tables were spotless. Thank you to kitchen and service staff. Excellent, will be back.
They have an amazing view which my partner spent ages looking for a lovely spot for dinner, so we specifically drove here to dine with that view on a beautiful hot evening. We went inside to ask to take the empty table outside, and were told that food is not served outside. What a loss of an asset for the sake of a few steps and my picture says it all - empty tables on one of the best views weâve seen. Really disappointed, we went to the Hardwick Inn which has a lovely outside eating area just not the same view.
