About us

A former watermill, the Wheatsheaf is a friendly local, and is found at the bottom of the historic high street. It has three large plasma screens for Sky Sports and BT Sports. The interior was completely redecorated in 2007 and has a warm atmosphere. To the rear is a pleasant riverside garden to relax in. Children are welcome in the pub until 8pm. The guest beer may be from a local or national brewery and the pub runs occasional beer festivals. There is often live music on a Saturday night.

Nice and cosy pub with very friendly servers and a good selection of beers on tap. Very much recommended for a football match!

Nice and friendly atmosphere. Unfortunately I was massively overcharged for two beers and a whisky, paying close to £20. I noticed after leaving when checking my bank account, making it too late to challenge them on the charge. I doubt it was intentional but be careful when they're charging you for drinks.

Great pub when you're looking for a good beer/larger (good clean lines) etc. Lovely managers. Back garden, sports TV orientated, comfortable chairs and friendly atmosphere. Limited food due to being a smaller pub i.e pizza/pies..
