Very cosy night in one of the outdoor cabins with our baby - it was a good price and we enjoyed the no frills approach, it felt like an adventure. Baby loved it in the cabin and we all slept really well. Appreciated touches like a light and a socket to charge phone, outside loos were nice and clean. Had a great burger at the pub - keep it up!

Visited the highest pub in Scotland after our walk along the trail. The staff were very friendly and the decor was cool. We didn’t have food there but I heard their pizza is very tasty. I saw they have a stone pizza oven outside the pub and could imagine the tasty pizza. Will definitely visit again and try the food here.

The life size Jar Jar Binks was a little startling in all the right ways. We enjoyed a few pints and a good chat with some of the locals. All in all a very friendly pub and well worth a visit just to say you've been to the highest pub in Scotland.

Wildfire Festival
Something old, something new, something international and something blues. Yes Wildfire Festival returns to the Wanlockhead inn on Friday the 28th June 2024 to bring you the best 3 days of new and rising rock metal & blues talent. Our 5th annual event “up the mountain" is something very special indeed. Kicking off on Friday with the amazing Oli Brown Formerly of RavenEye, Oli was initially recognized as a Blues Musician, winning several awards as Best Guitarist, Best Band, Best Singer at the British Blues Awards. He will be joined on Friday evening by the Edinburgh based Progressive Metal band Tiberius and travelling all the way from Wisconsin for an exclusive Scottish Festival performance we are delighted to have American heavy rockers Carbellion. On Saturday we are thrilled to announce that we are bringing back the outstanding Dead Writers a band that captured hearts and turned heads in 2023, and with fellow returnees This House We Built and the highly engaging Blue Nation it is also shaping up to be an amazing day. On Sunday we need to keep the energy going so there can be nobody better than britains best Southern Rockers Sons Of Liberty guaranteed to rock the roof off. Special guests on the Sunday and recently signed to Earache Records we have the fantastic The Karma Effect. Three outstanding nights of rock metal and blues. But there is more. Also returning in 2024 we have the awesome Jack J Hutchinson, Shape Of Water and the fast rising Thieves Of Liberty Then from a bit further back in our story we have Syteria and more Scottish rock in Clipe Circle and A Ritual Spirit. If it's new music you are looking for then you will be thrilled by the sensational NitroVille, Zac and The New Men, Ward XVI, White Tygër, White Skies and Netherhall. We arent finished there either as we bring you more great new music from high energy Skinny Knowledge, Those Made Broken, BIG IRON The Black Hounds and CROWLEY UK. There will be more to announce shortly but we are already over the moon with what we have in store for 2024 and we have no doubt, as it has consistently done since 2019 that Wildfire Festival will be sold out once more. Further information on running order and day splits will be released soon. So keep an eye on our socials and the website for all the up to date information. Full weekend tickets which include, camping and parking are available today from www.wildfirefestival.co.uk Thank you for your continued support, we will see you all again in 2024.
