I met a friend here for Sunday lunch and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.Friendly and obliging staff. The woman bar tender made me the BEST Bloody Mary I have ever had (other than those I make myself). She also assured me I could have a small portion of the regular roast. We both opted for a roast and sure enough mine was roughly half the size of my friends down to half the enormous Yorkshire. It was delicious and beautifully cooked. Followed by a perfect Americano coffee. Most of the clientele were obviously regulars and that generated a pleasant atmosphere . No major matches on so we didn't have to cope with football on telly or indeed any television at all. I am glad I chose the Village Green for lunch - it is the pub closest to me so I will certainly visit again - the two for one deals caught my eye, maybe fish and chips on Friday? Thank you! lovely lunch, even lovelier staff
I remember this atmospheric pub when it was named “The John Logie Baird” after the Scottish inventor of the television & there a few reminders of its past dotted around the pub. Have to be honest perhaps I’m not often in these parts felt the food was a little bit overpriced however the quality was good & service good too. Watching Arsenal lose to Liverpool was an added bonus whilst enjoying our meals. Told the owner I was a bit of a dinosaur & didn’t do reviews but I thought it was worth a mention.
My experience at the pub was fantastic! The atmosphere was lively, the food was excellent, and that burger was truly outstanding. The staff was incredibly polite, and the diverse drink choices were a definite plus. I'm already looking forward to my next visit – highly recommend this place!
Lovely local venue serving an amazing menu of fresh and seasonal food with a great selection of craft beers! Absolutely amazing beer garden and terrace! A must visit for all muswell hill residents and visitors
Nice pub located in Muswell Hill. Came on a bank holiday Monday for a quick drink in the afternoon. I have removed a star because there was no staff... Literally no one to be seen, eventually after 10 minutes someone emerged from the cellar to serve me. However, rest of the pub is great. Great drinks, pints, cocktails. Nice beat garden, very clean too. Maybe hire more staff?... Follow me on Google Maps for more pub reviews
