Played here with Bus Pass. Great quirky venue for live music. Great crowd really enjoyed it. Bar staff friendly and helpful and a nice pint.
Haven't been for many years and pleasantly surprised. Had a couple of drinks, dog friendly and the prices were very reasonable compared to the other pubs in the town. Much cheaper!
I thoroughly enjoyed a hot, tasty lasagne at the Tudor Tavern yesterday. Made with Welsh black beef and loads of cheese, cooked to perfection. Served with garlic bread and nice fresh salad. Nicely presented too. The barman was friendly and so were the locals. Plus the loos were spotless. I'm looking forward to coming back next time I'm in the area.
Unfortunately the pub seemed understaffed when we visited - bartender was also chef but was friendly and helpful. The food, which was two panini and a baguette, was overall terrible. Chicken and bacon were dry, the ham was processed sandwich ham. The chips were good and the salad fresh (but with no dressing).
I ordered a char-grilled pulled pork burger this is what i got it looked like and tasted like a pre-cooked and pre-packed burger that you microwave the burger was hard on the outside rims and it was cold and dry if you look carefully at the picture it also has all the little hole that one of those £1 burgers in a pack has on them they sell these burgers between £6 the £7.50 on the menu I will not be going back there it was disgusting just to know that a restaurant could do this
