This Wetherspoon pub is named after Thomas Botfield, a local industrialist. From the 1790s, the Malins Lee estate was transformed by Thomas Botfield.
A Dawley man, Botfield built the Old Park Ironworks, fuelled by coal and iron ore from the collieries on the land he leased from Hawkins Browne. He built houses for his workers at Old Park, as well as the village of Dark Lane for the colliers. Situated 300m east of this pub, the main terraces in the village were Long Row and Bottom Row, with Stone Row to the south.

Most of the seats looked awful and are in Desperate need of reupholstering. But other than that the Turkey roast was really lovely, served piping hot. The staff were really nice, and it's a good atmosphere.
A little disappointing with the lack of cheese on my tuna and cheese panini today. Still, it's usually a nice place to eat.
Excellent place to catch up with friends with the Wetherspoons prices Great staff and walking distance from train station
Called after the football match at Telford AFC, what a nice pub this is, and I've been a few Wetherspoons. Nicely laid out throughout. Only stayed for a couple of drinks on way to Notttingham. If I lived local I'd be in here regularly.
Great spoons! Very clean. Good atmosphere and staffs are very friendly and helpful. Service was fast even though it was really busy. Also food was taste, warm and great portions So definitely deserve a 5 stars. I recommend to try the chicken katsu curry. It's delicious and cookie dough for deserve! It's by far one of my fav deserts
