A tiny, independent pub that concentrates on serving local beers and lagers with up to six hand-pulls.
Amazing selection of drinks (Real Ales) great atmosphere and staff. Highly recommended. Best pub in Alnwick.
Nice pub serving well kept cask and craft ales. Well worth checking out. 👍👌
Great place, lovely atmosphere, very friendly staff (owner?), the dog!! Worth a visit. It was very quite when we went there but we're told it does get busy very often.
Astonishingly good pub with a great atmosphere and a good welcoming. Me and the dog were strangers in town looking for a good pint whilst my wife did a bit of shopping. Really well served beer and the pub has a well deserved listing in the good beer guide.
The Tanners Arms is a quirky, characterful, 19th century, dog friendly, food-free, pub which opens early afternoon. It serves locally brewed real ale. Mostly open stone walls and flagstone flooring, with the quirkiness confirmed by the fact that there is a tree in the middle of the pub! Our dog Glen was very warmly welcomed by the barman, as were we, but thankfully the barman only tickled Glen!

Welcome to the Plough Alnwick. Enjoy total relaxation in a beautiful coaching inn that has a history dating back to 1896. We’ve lovingly restored the building to create a modern take on the traditional coaching inn and hunting lodge décor.
