Great pub with great food and welcoming atmosphere. The stand out is its provision of decent gluten free bread for their sandwiches. So many places just give you mediocre bread. The Sun Inn has got it spot on. My wife was so pleased, so thank you Sun Inn for doing the right thing and making sure people who eat gluten free eat just as well as the rest of us - and why not! Itβs the way should be. Everyone else, take note! I must add the other 2 parts of the sandwich had been eaten, the portion was much bigger than the picture and it was great value too!
Booked last minute last night and the staff couldn't have been greater, chap behind the bar was very friendly, took a pint to my room which was very nice and well kept. Lady showed me to my room was very pleasant too. I'll definitely be back.
First time I've stayed at the Sun Inn as I've been a local until last year. The rooms pleasantly surprised me. Very clean, well furnished, sound proofing from the road is great, breakfast is amazing...can't fault the place at all. We will be back with our dogs soon. Great work ππ»
We went for tea my husband had Cumberland sausage mash and veg Said it the worse meal he had.he normally good eater. My fish and chip was not much better.also my cutlery looked like it had some food left on we did not say anything about that has she said to my husband do u want anything else he said it knocked him of.but when he paid she knocked of his meal.we. Went there has people put good write ups.but think they need to get a better cook.
Lovely location with a large beer garden to eat and drink in. We had our meal in the garden and the food was lovely. The rooms are comfortable and clean and our bathroom was very nice. A little noisy from the hallways as people passed, but the same in most old buildings.
