The Sun & Castle is a lovely traditional English pub with old oak furnishings highlighting the pubs authentic character. The Stockport pub offers a wide selection of Joseph Holt beers including cask ales and keg beer.
A long vault, a large lounge and snug, an attractive bar, excellent use of dark wood and mirrors both on the walls span around the bar. Sing-alongs are popular at weekends with Open Mic Nights on Friday and Saturday evenings alongside a strong karaoke following.
The Victorian inspired interior really fits the bill with pride of place going to a spectacular 1890’s bar back giving a warm interior with lots of dark wood plus red, brown and cream fixtures and fittings adding up to a classic ‘traditional pub’ feel.

A decent enough place that lets you vape indoors, and is just quite comfortable… homely in a rustic sort of way The male toilets are bloody abysmal though

I had to pop in to see where my Mum goes kariokeing ... I was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience... everyone was so friendly and accommodating... The owner is very hands on and everything ran smoothly 🙏
Great atmosphere and really friendly locals and bar staff. Good night on the karaoke too!
It's a real old style of pub but always a great pint.
