Called in for a quick drink with my Mum...it seems like a pub that's mainly for local guys who are regulars... that's just the impression I got, but we only stayed for 1 drink...so I may be wrong. They didn't sell coffees etc, which is what I always drink, a latte, everywhere I go...since I don't drink alcohol...but they had plenty of wines, which is my Mums drink of choice. At the time, there was only a few ppl in, all guys who seemed to know each other well, including the guy behind the bar, who I assume runs it, but it was quite early.
Lovely atmosphere and plenty of people A great band on the outside would benefit from a refurb inside as seating was uncomfortable but reasonably priced
Local pub. Always a warm welcome. Traditional no frills, full of fun, family welcome. Live music at weekends, outside (weather permitted) Darts, pool room and outdoor skittles. Wheelchair accessible
Stopped off enroute to Scotland 16 February. One of the friendliest pubs we've found. Great beer and will return. Aidan Jane and Mr Morris
I am giving this pub 5 stars as from the very first time of coming here I have found it very welcoming and friendly. Great beers and bands outside in the warmer weather. 😊 Would highly recommend a visit.
