We're six miles from Brecon and 14 miles from Abergavenny. The pub is in the hub of the village and our garden is right on the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal.
Our emphasis is on hearty, homemade meals using mostly local produce, served in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere that you will want to return to night after night!.

Don't judge a book by its cover. This pub doesn't look that special initially, but the food is amazing. Plus a stunning beer garden, and dog friendly.
Always nice to go back to a pub you love. And the star is high on the list. Always a cheery welcome and such a lovely atmosphere. I could and have spent many happy hours in the beer garden. Lovely home cooked food although we didn’t eat today. Will we be back? Of course we will. And looking forward to it already
Best pub garden and premises in the area, really good if you have kids. However, the food is super unpredictable. One week it's great, the next it's no better than a Wetherspoons. At the prices they are charging, the quality needs to be a cut above, and consistent, or they will lose any regulars.
Lovely pub with great beer selection in the heart of Talybont. Gets busy so book ahead for sure. Food great and well priced. Recommend if you're there visiting, staying or just floating nearby. There's direct canal path access as well as a decent free car park.
The food was exceptionally good, and the staff very very friendly! Also there were great vegetarian options. I highly recommend this nice pub!
