The Southern Belle is a stunning historic venue with lively pub, luxury boutique rooms, quirky interior & cocktail bar reminiscent of a bygone era. Nestled in Brunswick Old Town, Hove and located moments walk from the Beach and Hove Lawns. We serve up some amazing breakfasts & delicious food and also host our popular pub quiz, folk nights & live music/open mic nights along with some and fantastic drinks. Our cocktail bar/lounge is availbale to hire and we also offer full venue hire (including hotel rooms)
Our hotel guests have a choice of 10 beautifully designed bedrooms with luxurious en-suites (4 of them have a views of the sea).Some of our rooms are dog friendly as is our bar area. With central Brighton just 15 minutes walk away, the seafront/beach/Hove Lawns on our doorstep and the i360 only a short 5 min stroll – the location is perfect for getting out of the town centre, but still having easy access to everything you could want!.
Such a lovely hotel. Nice sized room, cool decoration. Breakfast super tasty. Bathroom really nice but could have done with just a little bit of extra cleaning.
NB: this review is for the restaurant only. We sat in a room behind the pub, between the pub and the cocktail bar. The ambience is pleasant, it’s a very comfortable and relaxed vibe. I had a mulled wine, which was very sweet but warming. I had the lamb roast dinner. The meat was delicious, tender and tasty, not fatty. The portion size was very decent. The roast potatoes were perfectly done with exactly the right crispness. The food came quickly, the service was fantastic, the staff are welcoming and friendly. We shared a bottle of red wine, which was on the Sunday evening happy hour drinks menu. The sticky toffee pudding was lovely. Overall, a solid 5 stars for the food, service and ambience. The prices are fairly reasonable, too. Highly recommended.
We spent Christmas eve with our friends, 3 toddlers, 1 baby, and a dog. We had a lovely time. The are we had was great for kids and the staff were really friendly to our quite overwhelming group. I had lots of nice chats with the bar maid, and she recommended different beers I would like. We didn't try the food on this occasion, but have in the past and it's very nice
Nice place to stay! The rooms are newly renovated and really nice - lovely big bathrooms and cute decor. Definitely rooms above a pub, not a hotel, so bring earplugs if you want to go to bed early, but that’s to be expected! Nice to be so close to the sea. About a 25 min walk into the center of Brighton.
Didn't stay at the hotel. Visited the bar for a drink and bite to eat. Had the best cod and chips I've tasted in years. Triple fried chips were superb and the fish perfectly fried. Would not have been surprised to receive this in a top end restaurant. Pub is compact but very cute. A great little find.

The Robin Hood is located right on the border of Brighton & Hove, just off the seafront. It has a cosy, warm décor with a relaxed atmosphere.
