Had a superb lunch. Good menu. Beautiful pastry on the pies and amazing mussels. Great service. We were seated by our friendly host by the log fire on a very cold day. Would definitely return.
Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Spent 2 nights here, the staff were helpful and friendly. We had a meal and breakfast and the food was amazing. Will definitely be back. The cups in the rooms were a great size rather than tiny cups and saucers. Our room had a patio door and looked over the garden.
Awesome lunch! A nice choice of tasty items including a few non meat options. Proper pies, I tried the chicken and chorizo. Pleasant service and a nice warm log fire. Some interesting bovine art!
Great food, although breakfast was v inconsistent with portions on the 2 days. Also when I booked we told them we had a dog and paid what was asked. Upon checking out they tried to double charge us for breakfast and then added an extra £20 for our dog which should have been explained when we booked, not just as we're leaving...Staff were far more friendlier and helpful on Sat as opposed to Sun.
Had a brilliant meal here this evening. Fish and chips, fish of the day, chicken with gnocchi and pesto and a kids pasta. All very tasty. The Eton Mess was sublime. Service excellent, very friendly staff. Also dog friendly. Would def return.
