Reached by an elevated pavement walkway alongside the busy A474 Neath Road. This narrow fronted pub, which is a privately owned Free house, offers a long single open plan room, where the traditional dark old style wooden décor gives the feeling of a comfortable well worn snug bar.
Alas at the time of visiting (August 2023) due to reduced trade and escalating costs, the friendly owner had decided to stop serving draught beers and was only selling bottles and cans from fridges! This did not seem to upset the customers present and there was a pleasant atmosphere.
So good services
Great little pub with a lovely welcome from the landlord Wayne
for the bar itselves i can't review , we booked the appartment above and that was the most discusting place we've ever had. no warm water , mold on the sink and bath , glasses where there were still lip prints on , the door could not be locked from the inside , only from the outside with a padlock. we booked for 2 nights but left after a few hours
