Visit the Savile Arms for a warm welcome and delicious home-cooked, locally sourced food. Set a short way out of town in the pleasant village of Hunsworth, we offer a cosy atmosphere indoors, and a hilltop view of the valley from the outdoor area.
The Savile Arms is a traditionally built, 18th century Grade-II listed building, featuring original oak beams and a separate snug, which doubles as a function room for small, private events. It has a rich history within the community, and we continue to support and host local events and groups. Come and sit by the roaring, wood-burning fire, and tuck into a hearty meal from our newly revised menu. We serve food at lunch and tea time during the week, and at the weekend we serve our delicious meals, including roast dinner with all the trimmings on a Sunday, from opening right through to five o'clock. We are very proud to say that our ingredients are locally sourced and all our meals are prepared right here by our fully trained chef.
We hold a general knowledge quiz every Monday night, with over £20 in vouchers to spend behind the bar available to win.
We have two big screens in the main bar area, and you can join us to watch the football, rugby, and tennis live on BBC or ITV.
Keep an eye out for our special events over the year, when we'll have live music, special offers on food and drink, and family entertainment for everyone to enjoy.

Booked a table by phone last Saturday for a meal at 1800hrs. Arrived a good 30 mins early, found it strange that no one was eating. When we told the girl serving we had a table booked she said they weren't doing food? We said we had called around 1400hrs to book a table, she said there's nothing in the book and we aren't doing food! So why take the booking in the first place, no apology or explanation and a complete waste of taxi fare. One drink and gone, never to return, appalling service, miserable people and extremely dull pub.
We've eaten here on many occasion and would highly recommend it to anyone. The staff are great and make you feel very welcome as does the Landlord. The food not only tastes fantastic but it's very reasonably priced too. Also the menu isn't ridiculously big like alot of places. Icing on the cake is they do a lovely pint. It's got a lovely outside area too which is great in better weather. One of our favorite places to go, definitely give it a try😊
Can't fault this oldie world pub!!!! Great staff and the food was fantastic ,price was really reasonable too.Big car park, loads of kerb appeal and a lovely outside seating area for sunny days.Highly recommended!!!!!!
