We love beef. That’s why our meat is sourced from award-winning butcher, Swannington Farm, which can be found less than 2 miles down the road. A slice of city chic in the idyllic Norfolk countryside, we hope you can join us on our newest culinary adventure.
We came together as a family longing for the best roast in Norfolk and boy did it deliver. The carrots were glazed perfectly, beef so succulent, yorkshire puddings so fluffy! My favourite part was one I stuck one of the chicken tenders into the creamiest Camembert. Will definitely be coming back!
Fantastic experience from start to finish. They were busy, but it didn't stop them from serving us. Good food takes time to prepare and if you don't mind the wait, you won't be disappointed. We asked our server for recommendations as it was our first visit and chose accordingly. You can't go wrong with a burger, gammon steak or salad but we were definitely in for a surprise - these were not your average dishes. The decor is more upmarket than some of the local places, the seating oh so comfy and the ladies bathroom caters for the modern woman - "a basket of woman" with just about everything she'll need to freshen up. Normally when you ask for the manager, everyone gets worried but tonight was just compliments, no complaints!!
Been here a few times, Always great food and service, steaks are spot on as expected, and the Roasts are a great size with plenty of meat!
Excepional service from our waitress bryony and all other staff, nothing was too much trouble!! Can't wait to go for roast dinner , as our dinner tonight was amazing had to book for tomorrow too. this place has a wonderful atmosphere and is definitely a place to go.
Sunday lunch here was very tasty. We had the beef. Generous portions. Had to enquire about horseradish sauce and mustard. Would have been nice if they came with a spoon! Toilets were spotless. Would have happily ditched the sage and pork stuffing that came with the beef for roast parsnips but that's my personal preference! We will return as would like to try the steak dishes
