I really like it here. It feels a little half done, but it is community owned, and I feel sure the community will complete its resurrection.
Now owned by the village this pub has a welcoming atmosphere and exciting plans for the future. Staff were very friendly. Also has events which are well worth trying out. Currently closed awaiting renovation.
Was having a nice time until the music was switched off at 8.30. Completely killed the atmosphere and made me feel unwelcome. Last orders called at 9.15!!!!! Saturday night.
Went in as thought it was having a refurb and the outside looked inviting. So dirty and unclean inside! Walls are completely empty and grubby, carpet is the same carpet that is at least 20+ years old. Appreciate that not everything can be replaced, but the rest of the place is completely untouched and run down. It's just grubby and unkept. Drink prices are expensive considering the decor and lack of cleanliness. Was charged £6.50 for a malibu and coke, which I didn't realise until the next morning when I looked. Which is expensive! You can go to much nicer pubs and pay less for the same. The review is factual, after visiting and speaking with others, they all share the same opinion. Overall was very disappointed with it and won't be going back.
Very friendly and welcoming. Many craft and popular beers available. Despite road location the garden is an oasis with new seating, many parasols and lovely trees around the new lawn. Excellent!
