A Neil Morrissey pub - located in a great setting by the canal, overlooking a bowling green. Relax and enjoy awesome food and drink
WELCOME to the Plume of Feathers, a fantastic new pub venture in association with Neil Morrissey. When you visit Plume of Feathers you have to sample some of Neil’s own beers and ales. It doesn’t end there. Our food menu is full of choice dishes from our kitchen. We pride ourselves that all our dishes are homemade from the finest fresh ingredients, sourced from local suppliers. Bruce Mackie is our Head Chef & Neil Morrissey, one of the Owners loves to spend time in the kitchen and might even be preparing some of your meals!.
Couldn't fault this place. Food was delicious. I had the meat pie, bubble & squeak, crispy kale with onion gravy and it was gorgeous. The service was excellent (very pleasant, friendly, happy waitress). A restaurant full of very happy customers... it was a very relaxing place after a tour around World of Wedgwood (highly recommend that) and then a little walk along the canal to Plume of Feathers. A very nice time was had by myself and 3 friends.
Decided to Suprise my lovely wife and take her on a date here. I didn't book a table simply because I wanted to take her out shopping before hand. What a beautiful place atmosphere was lovely and warm,Staff were absolutely fantastic could not fault them one bit. It was very busy and I was thinking that I would not be able get a table, but to my surprise the lovely lady managed to accommodate us. The Food was Beautiful a gastronomical delight. The service from start to finish was outstanding. I would definitely recommend this place to all. Thank you for such a wonderful day.
Popped in for an evening meal whilst I was travelling to a local hotel. Staff very friendly, beer fantastic. Waiting time was not long. I went for the pie and was not disappointed. Probably the best pie I've had....ever. The crispy kale was fantastic also. Different and much lighter than 'boiled veg'. Absolutely full to the brim with meat. I'm hard to please and this was fantastic. I will visit again if I'm passing. Go on...try the pie...you know you want to.
It had been 24 years since I visited the Plume in Barlaston, and it had changed so much. The service and the food were excellent. The next time I'm in the UK, I would definitely go there again.
Just been for a family meal. Everybody enjoyed their meals. Was absolutely delicious! The service was great too..would highly recommend!
