Stayed for two nights after being let down. Hotel is lovely, friendly staff, comfortable rooms ,view is amazing and breakfast is great
Room is clean, the menu of breakfast and the proportion are perfect and the staff are friendly. Have a very beautiful view of the port from the room. Highly recommended.
I would love to thank to amazing, helpful, warmhearted young receptionist and waitress in The Pier hotel, who literally saved us from sleeping on the street. The hire company left us stranded without any help after our car broke down and we couldn’t get to our destination with booked accomodation for that night and no one was really helpful and we were desperate. Then we got to The Pier hotel and met this amazing girl, who really felt sorry for us and wanted to help us:) thank you again, the room was tiny but very lovely and clean with amazing view on the lake. We were over the moon and will never forget your helping attitude ❤️Veronika and Nadia from The Czech Republic
Stayed two nights in early June. Positives: nice views of the pier from the hotel. Clean linens and towels. Helpful ladies in the kitchen, prepared nice warm Scottish breakfast every morning. Walkable everywhere, for that matter Portree is a very small town. Negatives: Rooms are very basic (stayed in Room#1). Bathroom barely usable, more of a walk in wardrobe size. Super small Wash basin with two separate hot water and cold water taps with super hot and super cold water respectively. Can’t figure out how to use those- can be changed to water mixing taps? Wall mounted water heater in shower, with water fluctuating between super hot and super cold by itself. Kitchen is not open for lunch/dinner. Portree does not have a lot of restaurants, and mostly are booked way in advance. Limited dinner options.
We stayed at this small inn for a couple of nights. Our room. Was small but clean and comfortable. There is a small friendly bar which had mixture of locals and tourists. Breakfast was excellent, cooked to order and served in a small restaurant. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Overall its an Inn and for me, a 5* one. We ate in the associated restaurant on both nights, a bit of squeeze as the restaurant is small. Demand was high (no bookings) and on the first night we were a little late to get our name down but staff were accomdating and fitted us in as we were residents. Second night was much easier, got our name down and waited in the bar until there was a table around the time we wanted. Food was great on both nights, well above what we'd be expected. Service was very friendly and relaxed. Great place to eat (Restaurant is closed Sundays, apparently like many others in Portree)
