Our team
We have a real mix of age and experience on our team, which makes our service so much better. We’re fortunate to have a lot of younger people on our team who bring a new outlook and new ideas to our restaurant. They’re guided by team members who have been with us for years, giving us the perfect combination of energy and experience – which is great news for our guests, who can expect world-class service, delicious meals and a new perspective on eating out.
Most of our team live locally, and we make a real effort to invest in young people locally by hiring students, providing part time work and apprenticeship opportunities while people are at college and university.
Our location
The Parkway has had a lot of labels of the years, but it’s always had a reputation for being somewhere the whole community could come together and relax. That’s still the same as it’s always been, but as a Beefeater, we’re able to serve mouth-watering steaks alongside all the classics. The Parkway Beefeater is probably best known for the distinctive clock tower and poem painted on the Premier Inn Guildford North (A3) hotel next door.
Our restaurant has everything you need to enjoy a great meal. We have a spacious dining area with plenty of tables, a quiet bar area that’s comfy and a great space to get work done during the day, but with a screen showing all the biggest games at night. We also have an outdoor patio area with lots of benches and parasols, perfect for a pint in the sun.
We have a large car park next door, full baby changing facilities and free Wi-Fi throughout our restaurant.

We’re in a convenient spot just off the A3 in Guildford, next to the Spectrum Leisure Arena. That makes the Parkway Beefeater the best spot to recharge and relax before seeing some of the best of this fascinating part of Surrey.
Guildford is a town where there’s always something going on, it’s a brilliant place to visit for a day out. At the Parkway Beefeater we’re only a short walk away from Guildford City Football Club, Guildford College, the local swimming pool and the massive Spectrum Leisure Centre complex.
Guildford is also full of historical and cultural places to visit, ideal for a family day out. Places like Guildford Cathedral and Guildford Castle are fascinating to explore, and only a 10-minute drive away from us at the Parkway Beefeater. And we haven’t even mentioned Guildford’s scenic green spaces, Stoke Park, Newlands Corner and Hatchlands Park are some of the most colourful, vivid places to escape to nearby, all only a short way away from our restaurant. The Parkway is one of the better Beefeaters that I have been too. Our server for the evening was Heather, and she was absolutely fantastic. Heather accommodated our needs, and was great with our orders. The only issue that I have with this place is the general upkeep. The toilets in particular weren't kept clean and the maintenance in there is quite poor. Whilst the atmosphere in general is great, an update/refresh to the toilets and general restaurant area would make this place even better.
Lovely food, amazing service. Martin waited on my family tonight. There were 16 of us and he was absolutely brilliant. Very friendly, chatty, remembered who ordered what and is a real credit to your restaurant. Please pass on our thanks. We had a fab night!
Another pleasant afternoon at the parkway. Our waitress was very attentive, kind and very polite. Her name is Danni and definitely deserves a big well done from her management team. Both food and service excellent and of course reasonable in price. Be back next month!
Went for a well deserved Sunday lunch. Perfect vegetables and delicious pink lamb. Succumbed to desert as well. My sons sticky toffee pud was perfect and thoroughly enjoyed my mini choc brownie sundae. Heather was friendly and gave us great service. Thank you Parkway.
A good restaurant, selling all the usually food and drink you expect. Ordered starters and Mains, all tasty but for the mains we ordered Fish & Chips, the fish was a little over done. Received good service from Heather who is pleasant and friendly. Recommend!
