We made a booking for a Sunday’s NYE roast and we had an amazing meal. Food was delicious and the portions very generously served. Very reasonable prices and a gluten free menu too! Highly recommended!
Warm welcome, good service, relaxed atmosphere and great ‘real’ food. Glad we booked for first visit. Will return and recommend.
I was looking for a place to have a meal and drinks with friends when I saw this pub at the end of a side road. Freshly decorated, it stood out and a quick peek through the window confirmed a great selection of beers, whilst the menu posted on the wall had some interesting choices, not the usual repetitive bought in pub food. Three women walking by as I was looking said that it was the best pub in Chichester. They were not wrong, it's simply one of the best pubs I've been in lately and not just in Chichester. The food was truly fabulous; I had the whitebait, home made kedgeree, and home made ice cream, all truly delicious. The ale selection included Fuller's, Gales HSB & Dark Star and the staff were delightful & helpful. I'd give this place 6 stars if it were possible, it was fantastic; simply the gold standard of how to exit a pandemic at the top of your game. Update - Yes, it is really still that good! Update 2 - I've just been back with the same people and this continues to impress in a big way. The food is a quantum leap in standard above any other pub but still great value and the service is simply sublime. There's very little out there to compete with this pub.
Came across this pub by accident but so glad we did. Fabulous pub. Lots of memrobilia to look at on the walls. Great atmosphere friends meeting for a drink at the end of a working week.Food excellent quality. Staff interested in their customers & are professional & courteous while being friendly. Great place. Would definitely go again.
Had a great lunch here, warm welcome and excellent service. Friday is famous for it’s fish and chips, but when we saw the generosity of the portions we opted for pastrami sandwiches and they were delicious. Washed down with a pint of Fuller’s.
