The Oystercatcher is more than a great place to stop off for a delicious meal, too. In fact, it could be a great spot to start your day's adventure, especially if you're thinking of exploring any of the following places: Cardiff Castle, National Museum Cardiff and Hollywood Bowl.
We turned up no booking, 9 people. Very busy, but the staff got us 2 tables close together they went out off their way to accommodate. Service and food was spot on, too. All in all, it was a great experience. Would definitely recommend. *****
Visited on 12/01/24 Group of us have been coming here regularly for breakfast nearly every week for the last two years. The staff are always very helpful and friendly. There are choices for different sizes of the full English breakfast which are all very reasonably priced. Very near to Penarth Marina not too far a walk from Cardiff Bay barrage. Highly recommend this place.

Food came very quickly, portion sizes have decreased since our last visit but still a decent amount for the price. The mulled wine on offer near Christmas was lovely. Staff very friendly, as always, in The Oystercatcher Penarth. Thank you
Popped in following a boat fishing trip... we were in a group of ten. It was about 5 pm on a Saturday . Initially told that they could not accommodate us because they were busy. However, the manager managed to squeeze us in . On different tables... The locals moved around... which was kind of them so we sat together . I did not eat but all the others did. The food was good. I ordered a couple of pints... but was given lager instead of ale...we still drank it. They got it right on the next round. All in all a good experience and the boys enjoyed their food and beer ,we had some shots. In summary I would recommend a visit. Thank you to the staff.
