Filled with charm, the 18th Century coach house boasts many of its traditional features – the Ostler’s House with its original cast iron cooking range, the Stables with their original wooden feeding troughs, and an open fire that warms the entire pub with its inviting glow.
The bar has a strong focus on real ale – primarily serving Blue Monkey Brewery’s core range of beers, as well as a revolving line-up of quality guest ales from other fantastic breweries. With 9 hand-pulls, any ale lover is spoilt for choice.
A wide assortment of other products is available, including Blue Monkey hand-crafted gin, an array of specialist beverages from local craft ales to Belgian beers, and real ciders and perries are always available.
A wonderful selection of Pork Pies and other bar snacks are served daily. The option to bring local delicacies into the pub to be enjoyed with a pint of your favourite ale is also available.
Dogs are welcome, events such as live music and pub quizzes take place regularly, board games are readily available, there is an expansive beer garden to the rear, charging stations are dotted around the pub, there are many quaint little rooms to tuck yourself into – the list goes on, but why not come and experience the delights for yourself?
The Organ Grinder received the award for Pub of the Year from Loughborough and North Leicestershire CAMRA in 2013, 2019, 2023 and 2024. It was also awarded Gold in their Traditional Pub of the Year category in 2023 and 2024.
Cask Ales: We have nine cask ales on the bar. Most are from Blue Monkey, but we also like to serve the occasional guest beer.
Keg Beers: We are absolutely committed to cask ales, but we also have an interesting selection of keg beers for those that want something a little different.
Reasons to Visit: We have a great beer garden – perfect for sunny days.
BG sips, sipped in the sunshine with a bag of crisps, it doesn’t get much better than that!
Love wine? We do too, so we’ve gone to the effort to find some nice ones.
We provide a selection of the day’s newspapers, and interesting books to read. Well behaved dogs are welcome.

Nice friendly micro pub, plenty of ales to choose from.
Great sociable pub serving great beer. Gets very busy but that just adds to the atmosphere if you want a friendly night out.
sausage roll cold but good and nigd and scotch egg were just what we wanted:: that there was nothing else didn't bother us. Beer excellent but watch out some are much stronger than you might expect. Styled as a traditional working class pub, but I suspect the clientele are actually quite upscale
One of Loughborough's best pubs. Good atmosphere, brilliant selection of drinks and the Pork Pie platters are excellent. If you'd like a quieter night, especially Sundays, get in contact as they usually have a small acoustic or rock band playing on certain evenings. Certain live sports are played in the upstairs room when not hired out for parties etc., and is limited to that room - no massive screens in every room in the pub! Lovely beer garden with plenty of benches, as well as two covered smoking areas. Very recommended.
Came by this place by accident, saw it was a Blue Monkey pub so had to go in and have a couple. Warm friendly atmosphere and very easy going with friendly staff. Great range of Blue Monkey cask ales on too with a couple of guests. We of course went straight for the stouts and they were fantastic. Free tasters were also offered. I recomend the pork scratchings they come in a big bag with a pot of dipping sauce too. Well priced and friendly. Will be back.
