This pub is not a listed building but its interior is of local importance. Built in 1912, its exterior boasts depictions of the eponymous tree on its gables. The tapered bar counter, with matchboard panelling appears original, as does the matchboard panelling on all the walls. The pub is now completely opened up, but the door on the left hand corner would have led to the Public Bar, and that on the right would have led to the Saloon Bar. An unused door in the centre would have led to a (now long lost) jug and bottle bar.
If you want to go to a small, cosy, British vibe pub. This is the place to go to. Staff are friendly. Can't find any faulty here.
Lovely boozer I was playing darts in last night. Football on all screens, nice friendly staff, fire on. However I must point out that the pint of Guinness was exceptional, as you can see from the photos. If you are in the area pop in to see John and Marie for the finest Guinness in London!!
This has to be one of the best traditional pubs I've visited in a very long time, tucked away in a very quite location and has its locals that have been visiting over the years.. The feel of the place is one of cosiness and comfort, not too loud and has a large beer garden; and is renowned for its Guinness & has won multiple rewards for it. Customer service is absolutely beautiful thanks to John ππΌ 5* Would recommend based on a purely brilliant overall experience, and I'll be back one day to try the Sunday Roast ππΌ
THE very best, most traditional and friendly Proper Pub in all of London πΊ Beautifully poured pints, massive beer garden πΏπ²βοΈ Lovely locals and historic architecture π§ You'll find bountiful homemade Sunday roasts, tasty ales and loads of charm. If I could give more stars I would. Absolutely bloody fantastic.
