Fish and chips at a pub is always a gamble I think but this was the nicest fish and chips I’ve had in a long time! Staff were really flexible and helpful when our son didn’t fancy anything on the kids menu (it was a bit boring to be fair as most pub kids menus are) Lovely food, lovely staff, would visit again if in the area.
Best tasting food I've had in a long time. The barnsley chop is highly recommended. I couldn't get enough and cleaned the bone as you can see. Great value, great service, great location.
We had lunch at the Barbridge Inn and the food was good. The fish and chips meal was delicious. Service was a bit slow but still very good. The toilets were clean. Great access to the canal.
Nachos were good. I paid extra to have bacon on my burger so bit disappointed when it came. Burger was very dry as well which was a shame. Lovely pub though glad it’s still here as used to come when I was a kid quite a lot.
Updated August 2023 Sat bang on the canal. This place has a small play area for young children, outdoor seating for adults. I have to say this is quite an expensive meal now, and in all honesty the food fails to match the price tag. £18.95 for the pictured meal of pie and chips, which was pretty bland. £9.99 and it would have been ok. At this price, sorry not hitting the mark. Update: called in again despite my misgivings, sadly my view remains the same. Fish and chips and sausage and mash this time. Not worth the price.
