At our family-run, traditional stone built hotel, we offer a cosy stay in one of our single, double, twin and family rooms. So you can sleep well and wake up fresh to one of our home-made, hearty full Welsh breakfasts to set up you ready for your next adventure.

If you’re feeling peckish then why not indulge in one our locally sourced, proper home cooked meals. We always strive to offer traditional Welsh cuisine made with local and seasonal produce where possible. Why wouldn’t we use the best when it’s so close to our front door! The bar menu offers a delicious range of home-cooked meals and specials, with Vegetarian/Vegan options and children’s meals to keep even the little ones happy.

The Oakeley Arms is a free house and our fully stocked bar is home to a variety of Real Ales, Lagers and Ciders. Come and try our very own, specially produced for us by a local brewery. We also stock a selection of Welsh Gins, as well as Welsh whiskeys, wines and liqueurs. (We’re very proud of our Welsh-ness.. can you tell!).

This was the second time this year that we have stopped for a meal whilst travelling through the area, and both times have proved it was a good choice. The food was excellent and plentiful, the service was great and very friendly. Also, it is a dog friendly venue which for us was a bonus. Thank you. It is highly recommended.

nice looking from the outside, somewhat jaded inside. reception not good, as English people it was clear we were Outsiders and not made particularly welcome by the three people behind the bar which is not easily accessible, "find your own table" even though wed made a reservation. most people speaking in welsh which is fine. food served very quickly, clearly somewhat microwaved/pre-cooked, beef pie was quite nice, scampi very average. booze was fair, prices not too bad. pay-as-you-go seemed a bit off for a "hotel". dog friendly. wont be going back, there are better places not far away

Service was great, lovely friendly staff. The food was great I had Thai fishcake, BBQ chicken melt, both were lovely but my eyes were bigger than my belly!! My mum and partner really enjoyed there food too, so all in all lovely food, they fitted us in an hour after we called. Beautiful surroundings, I really liked this place 😊

Called in for a meal and was happy we could bring the dog along (bowl and water provided)! Beautiful warm evening, so we sat outside. Lovely children's play area too. Meals were fabulous (husbands gammon "one of the best he's ever had"). Service was excellent; staff friendly and helpful. What a lovely place.

We visited the Oakley Arms as we'd driven past it and it looked very inviting. The website also gave the impression that the food was going to be something special, for example "we always strive to offer traditional Welsh cuisine made with local and seasonal produce", "the perfect environment for producing some of the finest Welsh food" etc. The reality was somewhat different however. The menu was very standard pub food. Burgers, pizzas, lasagne, fish and chips etc. That's fine if it was served well but in all honesty, it wasn't. I had the BBQ pork ribs which were very fatty and full of gristle. The pizzas weren't great - rubbery cheese and not particularly tasty. Fish and chips were soggy with a heavy batter to fish ratio. That said, the fish cake and dice Dallas were good and the curry of the day perfectly nice. The other issue was that we ordered two Zinfandels which were poured from the taps at the bar. By all accounts, the wine was awful. My wife took them back to the bar only to be told, "It's fine, Others have had it and we've had no complaints". We had to buy two more mini bottles of different wine to get something drinkable. The beer was very good and since 3 of the 6 meals were OK, I've gone with two stars but certainly won't be going back.
