Friendly staff and great hospitality, the room was amazing. Can highly recommend if anyone is looking to stay or pop in for a bit to eat!
I took my elderly friend out to see her friend, we came here for lunch. We all ended up having a roast dinner with all the trimmings. They looked after my needs as well, which was good, ensuring I could eat everything on my plate. Good service and good food. It's reasonably priced as well.
Had a wonderful Family Sunday Dinner today . Food was lovely, staff and service excellent and good value for money too. Forgot to take photos until dessert arrived. The roast meats and fresh seasonal veg were cooked to perfection and the homemade desserts were delicious. Staff very attentive too.
I stayed 6 nights and it was wonderful! The owner and staff made me feel most welcome and were warm and helpful, while also most professional. Efficient, clean, lovely service with a small hotel feel. I loved my room, great breakfast and charming pub. I would love to return to this gem in the beautiful town of Sanquhar!
Only reviewing the food as I didn’t stay in the hotel. Came for a meal as it’s the only restaurant in Sanquhar you can sit in. Food was terrible. Bland microwaved dog food is the best way to describe it. Definitely won’t be back. The manky takeaway across the road provided a better meal the night prior. If I could give 0 stars I would.
