Our carvery remains a firm favourite, offering an outstanding meal alongside our main menu. Our chefs use freshly prepared, local & seasonal produce, served in a friendly & relaxed atmosphere.
We are proud of our heritage, which is reflected in the ambience created by our lovingly restored bar. We offer a good range of drinks & non-alcoholic beverages, and quality home-made food.
Our eleven tasteful, individually designed rooms are all en-suite, with a flat screen television and tea & coffee making facilities. Our excellent full English breakfast is included in the price.

Went for a Christmas drink with family and friends. Rude staff.. Female member of staff abruptly telling us to "move out the way". Rude attitude. Understandable it's a busy hectic time for them but went to friendly pub with nicer staff in the end.
First time here and thoroughly enjoyed the carvery and atmosphere. Food was good, hot and tasty. The carvery was amazing with lots of various vegetables and meats. Great atmosphere in the bar adjoining it. Good price.
Today we met friends st the Nags Head for lunch, first time vist there. We had coffee then we ordered our meal, fish and chips good, ribs good, carvery wasn't very hot at all veg was warm and liver and bacon looked nice but when halfway through noticed it was raw in middle of liver. We ordered deserts but after 17mins they hadn't arrived so cancelled them . Decor nice but service could have been better
Traditional pub, cosy bar with great atmosphere and a very good choice of beers. Spacious lounge with large screen to watch live sport. Good menu with excellent carvery esp. Sunday roasts. Nicely refurbished beer garden. Friendly staff. I would recommend.
WOW! The Crispy Chilli Beef was amazing. You have to try it. It’s huge as a starter so I’ve no idea how big the main is. It’s a family favourite and beats any Chinese I’ve ever been to. Service was great and other meals were delicious but I looked in envy at my sons choice.
