Really good venue. There is a great ambience in the Monmouth Ash, it is a very comfortable place to visit. The food is good and the staff were amazing. Good beer options complete the package. Well worth a visit.
Nice pub, typical pub food, had brown toasted beef sandwich/sliced tomato/pickle/mustard, with chips ,cost £9.45. Had a pint of cider, cost £5.25.
Went on a wednesday evening for my dads birthday and the service was absolutely awful. Never came to our table to take any food or drinks order and the staff were so incompetent they put whiskey in my mothers spiced rum. After 40 minutes of waiting we left and when my father tried to complain about the service, the manager ignored him and stuck his head in the sand. This is just a shame as it has always been a decent pub but has seemingly been brought down due to poor management.
Came here for a wake and is very disappointing. The orange squash was so weak even after it was sent back to the kitchen. I'm convinced nobody tasted it to make sure it was strong enough for the guests. The prawn cocktail sandwich had no Marie sauce I could spot. There was no Vegan options for half our party and the hot water ran out on the drinks and had to wait 20 mins for some more just to get my first drink! Food was otherwise medeochre and uninspiring so can't recommend this venue.
Just called in for a G&T off the bus from Bournemouth, down from Birmingham and over from Australia! 😂😂 It’s been a long day! Nice and warm at the pub and good service at the pub. Nice friendly service and good atmosphere. Dog friendly and it looks like a well laid out pub. Front and rear seating, restaurant seating, bar and indoor lounge. Only a short visit but I liked what I saw.
