If you had to press me, there are ways in which improvements could be made (like speakers above pool tables rather than TV speakers and more plantbased food). However, this offers everything you could want for pool and snooker. Oh, maybe more than one American table but overall excellent. So many tables, not too busy, sunday new years eve. Deserves more than 4 stars so.... thanks guys.
I've been going to Merlins for years and have always enjoyed it. Plenty of tables to choose from, good selection of drinks and friendly staff. Live sports on the Big screen and always a good atmosphere.
Lovely staff and the Madri beer was great. Been here twice and both times the staff were great
Very good venue for snooker and pool. Had weeks holiday membership. Pool and snooker charges and drinks reasonably priced. Didn't eat there or look at the food menu, but everything else was fine
I'm a member and have been a member for a few years, but they've gine down hill with regards to the pool table use.. it used to be 50p per game.. now its £6 per hour.. we usually have 5-6 games in that hour which cost us £3 for the session, we had 3 games and were there 20 minutes, they wanted 7.50 from us! Had to have confirmation from a customer to state to staff they've only just got here.. finally agreed to £1.50. Until the new pool charge scheme disappears, I won't be returning. They say they've introduced this rule as they've had enough of playing pool and not getting drinks and keeping out of the cold..
