Imposing but welcoming corner pub, now a smartish 'bar and grill' with light cream walls and ceilings over dark panelling and varnished floorboards, some exposed brickwork and a cherub motif extending to a framed modern plaster casting. Imaginatively laid out, it has several seating areas at different levels around the bar, a flagged, part-covered enclosed patio to rear and benches and tables at the front. Thursday night is quiz night.
Before 2003 this was the Freedom & Firkin; it had originally been the Tooting Tavern. More recently it was the George until 2006, then the Garden House. The closest pub to St George's Hospital, it offers NHS staff discounts.
Bar staff state that pub will revert to M&B late May 2024 when the lease runs out. M&B will close it for a couple of months for a refurb.

Amazing Sunday roast! We’ve just moved to the area and this was our first time eating at our new local. We were not disappointed. Huge portions, delicious food, and really reasonable prices. Genuinely such good value for a meal out. We will definitely be back many more times. The staff are lovely. The Manor has great atmosphere also! Loads of seating, family friendly with a baby changing room, free shuffle board, and sport. Something for everyone at The Manor!
From the outside, The Manor looks unloved, but on the inside, it is a charming little spot with a beer garden at the front and the back. With shuffleboard, loads of cute nooks, lovely space & a good atmosphere. The drinks were slightly overpriced, I’m sure they cost just as much as the Youngs pub down the road, but were all good quality (aside from the Guinness in a can?). The team members verbally made us aware of how they didn’t want to be there on, which is unfortunate. Nonetheless, the atmosphere and DJ was great, our table was lovely, and if people asked me about good pubs in tooting, I’d definitely recommend The Manor!
Ohhh my the food is delicious!! We ordered a pork belly roast dinner - absolutely delicious! Melted in the mouth ! A beef roast dinner that was cooked to perfection - the beef slab was big! And medium rare - so so good ! The BBQ ribs were tasty! My daughter mullered then which is a good sign ! Meat fell off the bone ! Big servings - We all left with leftovers ! ! ! Great service! Even better food!!
Amazing service , food and drinks by Lizzie! Bottomless brunch with 2 hour of bottomless cocktails and food. Would recommend to anyone! Thank you Lizzie for making my birthday so special!
One of the best roasts I’ve had! We had roast pork belly and roast beef - both fantastic. Will be a regular here, lovely staff also and not bank breaking. Definitely worth a visit
