Popped in here on the way back from a coastal path walk. Very lovely little pub with stylish decor and great loos. Will go back to eat at some point.
Fantastic "local-feel" pub serving good food and with a great location. The garden seating at the back is lovely in decent weather, as space can be somewhat limited inside for food (though there was a single large group of about 20 when we went, which would account for this). They have an indoors skittles alley...! Staff were welcoming and friendly. Would not hesitate to recommend or return.
Good food at affordable prices served quickly. Did have the atmosphere of a local pub for local people, but the food outweighed that.
A proper pub with a lively atmosphere, even midweek out of the school holiday period. And, fully dog friendly. Beer was Pride or Sea Fury, the Fury was very drinkable. Food was simple but tasty. The lasagne was good, much better than it looked. The burger was a solid lump of beef, tasty and relatively unadorned. Indoors is better than out the front on the main road. Theres a pool table and a skittle alley too.
This pub is very close Chisel beach but you don’t have any sea views. There is nice garden seating at the back of the pub. The staff are very friendly and polite. The food isn’t great taste wise, just about passable. However this was the only place serving food after 14:30 hence we were grateful but didn’t enjoy it much.
