Welcome to Blakey The Lion Inn on remote Blakey Ridge is a 16th Century family owned, Freehouse.
Located at the highest point of the North York Moors National Park, it stands at an elevation of 1,325 feet offering breathtaking views over the valleys of Rosedale and Farndale.
Steeped in history, open fires burn in the ancient stone fireplaces. The original low beamed ceilings and stone walls add to the friendly, timeless atmosphere of the Inn.
Lovely B+B. Amazing location and food. Staff were lovely and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Overall a great experience and will be looking to stay again. X
Always enjoy any visit to this destination pub whether it be walking there in the rain or driving there for lunch. A warm welcome always for myself and the Spaniels Food is hearty- with big portions so bring your appetite.
This is one of my favourite inns. Food always top notch, generous portion sizes and good service. The views are just amazing and location perfect for peace and tranquility. Haven't used the accommodation but I understand it's very good.
Very hearty meals served at this establishment. The taste and portion sizes are spot on, hope you are hungry when you get there. Staff are excellent. Will definitely be eating there again👍
Just for a meal here after a bit of a walking. This is a fantastic place with a great atmosphere. Food is served as massive yet delicious portions. Good choice of ales and other drinks at the bar. Loved the ham & mushroom parmo 😋
