Several things really let this place down. Service varies between friendly and welcoming to literally couldn't care less depending on who you get. No phone signal in that area and it's a fiver an hour if you want WiFi. Lacking overall atmosphere with very basic decor, cold interior and harsh yellow lighting. On the good side food was nice enough with big portions, toilets were clean and prices not too unreasonable for a major tourist area.
Visited here after a cold afternoon walking nearby, hoping for food. Was told reservations only, even though there were hardly any people dining at that point. We had a beer near the open kitchen and saw a waitress taking beers to the cooks and overheard conversations about how tables had been waiting a v long time for their food. So maybe a close escape. Won't be back.
No heating on , very cold. No hot drinks as staff said didn't have time to make them. Couldn't have a meal unless booked in advance. Charge 4.99 for one hour WiFi. One good thing was that the meal was well cooked and tasty, pity it went cold so quickly.
Stopped here for some lunch and was amazed at the burgers. The best burger we have ever had!! Service was great and very attentive. It was a shame the chef was rather loudly making it clear he didn’t want to be there which spoiled the atmosphere. Other than that it was great food at a great price in an amazing location!
Made a last minute booking for Sunday lunch here today, couldn't have chosen better - best roast I've had in a long time. Really top quality meat cooked beautifully, with a great selection of vegetables. Service was really quick and attentive and we had a great afternoon - many thanks.
