Value for money Sunday lunch, could have been hotter. Poor selection of lager. Staff very helpful. Proper beef! Good selection of meats
Great spot all things considered! After a few too many drinks last night, all we wanted was to ease into the day with our late lunch. Thankfully, they served 14 of us with ease! Our Christmas Eve menu came with three courses. I opted for the prawn cocktail (a true classic but could do without the buttered bread), roast turkey with all the trimmings (maaaaassive meal) and then finished with the lemon tart (star dish - it was YUM!) I had to be rolled out because I ate so much.
My husband and I were staying in a cottage close by and we went for a meal at the Kings head. The food was really good and cooked to perfection. However the the choice on the menu was very limited.
Stayed one night. Room was fine, although lacking in facilities. No fan on a very hot night in June - with not a very large window to open. And no hooks in the bathroom whatsoever... also, shower floor was cracked, so may be causing problems later. Food codes a bit limited IMHO.
Very pleasant stay of one night which included the best Welsh full cooked breakfast we've ever had. Only point of note was pub is closed on Tuesdays when we stayed so no evening meal available but it was very quiet and comfortable.
