We have a beautiful large, flower filled beer garden at the rear for the summer months and a real log fire for those cold winter months. We champion live music from all genres from Rock to Acoustic. We are a vehicle for Fringe Comedy and promote Pub Garden Theatre throughout the year in the Shakespearean tradition.
Nice pub with live music, and friendly service. The cleanness could be better, especially the toilets. We did not have food over there.
Went in to listen to music on Sunday evening. Unfortunately the place was dead. The musician spent an age preparing and as he hadn't started 10 mins after the posted start time, we left. Shame really as the bar staff were excellent and very engaging.
Went to The Keys with a few people, we entered and as soon as we got through the door we were greeted by a foul woman who was rude and complaining we were "kids" when all of us showed our IDs and we are all over 18. It was very quiet, however, we were waiting at the bar for 10 minutes to be served. The bar tenders were not busy, didn't even bother coming up to us and apologising for the wait. The only nice person there was the man at the door, I'm pretty sure his name is Chris. Thank you Chris for being understanding.
This bar has disappointed me. although my ID was cleared immediately by the bouncer, the server refused to even check the same ID on the grounds that I "looked too young" and was standing with my friends. The server was rude and I was taken aback by this reproach of my sincerity and honesty. I would give no stars if I could. I'm deeply annoyed with The Keys, and I hope their service endeavours to improve.
Poor imitation of a proper pub of old, 2 ales, which are ok, interior is a rambling mix of mediocrity, with a TV belting out Capitol FM purely for the benefit of the bored bar staff. A thoroughly depressing place.

Edward Moon is a long established award winning English brasserie with plenty of its own history, characteristic of Stratford-upon-Avon and Shakespeare's country. Situated in Chapel Street, we are just a few metres from the Royal Shakespeare Theatre.
