Nestled in the Sussex village of Kingston, Lewes, The Juggs is every inch the classic country pub. The surrounding area, the South Downs and beyond, is perfect for ramblers and cyclists who flock to The Juggs for fine fare, friendly service, and an endless supply of fresh country air.
One of the prettiest pubs in Lewes, hanging baskets herald your arrival in summer, while a lovely garden and covered terrace invite you to live the alfresco dream. Stop by and soak up the afternoon sun with a perfect pint or leisurely lunch from our bar in Lewes.
An excellent lunch on Saturday. (Very) simple menu: pies and burgers mainly so that's what we ordered and all delicious. Good Harveys beer too. Service very good despite the pub being very busy. Dogs enjoyed it too! Will definitely be back.
Stopped off on the off chance and what a pleasant surprise. Lovely old pub ( low ceilings ) with a wide selection of beer and what looked like a first class Sunday dinner. Plenty of outside seating and covered ares as well. Given the opportunity would try the food as certain we would not be disappointed
Appalling value for money on the starters. Paid £5 for 2 slices of toasted sourdough and £16 for a small Camembert with 2 slices of toast. Complained to staff who had nothing to say but confirmed I wasn’t the first to complain about them. I would not recommend!
1 star for how Lovely the pub is, and 1 star for such nice, friendly staff but and this is a massive but- the cleanliness loses 1 star and the food is so shockingly awful it loses 2 stars. we had a horrid cheap powder mix lemonade, a tonic water and two sandwiches and crisps were over £30!! The food took over 50 mins to arrive and what landed on the table was just dire. The sandwiches were made of the cheapest sliced supermarket bread you can buy, the prawns in one were watery and mushy, the fish fingers in the other were greasy and the bread was really soggy- to the point you couldn’t pick the sandwich up. We drove past a greasy spoon burger van to get to the pub if we had wanted that sort of food we would have stopped there and paid reasonable prices and got exactly what we expected from it. Sadly the pubs food in comparison is substandard even to the burger wagon. It is such a shame because this could potentially be a wonderful place to go. The person cooking the food either needs better quality ingredients or needs to learn how to cook better. All in all i would not recommend eating here but if your popping in to have a beer in the garden thens it’s probably very nice.
Great little pub, really busy but had a lovely seat in the sun! Good food & great pudding! Can't remember our servers name but it was a man, with tattoos and a cap on and he was great & really chatty! Would definitely be returning

A friendly and charismatic pub at the end of Southover High St in Lewes, serving local Harveys ales and excellent food. Beautiful sunny beer garden and ample car parking.

The Pelham Arms is a traditional pub at the top of Lewes High Street, with nice ales, wine & food & relaxed friendly service... but I might tweet anything!
