A nice enough carvery but not as good as in previous years. For example, there was no turkey option, even in late December. Reasonable value though.
Great old pub with a wonderful open fire in the snug and very popular Sunday roasts. The bar manager is a great asset to the pub.
Delicious carvery for Sunday lunch. Lovely atmosphere and great service. Be warned....the puddings are huge and the sticky toffee pudding was š yummy
sunday lunch carvery was delicious. Generous portions of meat with all the trimmings and plenty of choice of vegetables. Warm and friendly pub atmosphere. Beautiful location.
Popped in for a quick pint on the way home from Calke Abbey, and decided to return to following week for a carvery. Service is always top notch, and the staff are extremely polite and attentive. The carvery was good, however for the price I would have expected slightly larger portions. Nevertheless a good quality carvery, and potentially enough for a repeat visit at some point in the future. Iād definitely return to sit in the garden for a beer in the sun though.
