Had a meal here this evening. Idyllic village. The pub had a nice ambience with a mixture of locals and I’m guessing holidaymakers like ourselves having a meal. Katie the waitress acknowledged us straightaway as did the barman which was a nice touch. We had a good table. The menu provided a good choice supplemented by some specials. The service from Katie was excellent, she has a really nice manner. The food was also first class : my wife had a steak and I had the chicken and pulled pork burger followed by a delicious cheesecake. We booked again for Monday evening. Well done and many thanks
We didn't stay at the Hunters Lodge, we visited for a meal. The food was amazing, the drinks were amazing and the staff were very welcoming. Well worth a visit.
Absolutely fantastic pub ran by great people, in a old world Devon village. Grahame and Sue make you feel so welcome. Lovely setting and very traditional. Superb homemade quality food and nice local ales. Lovely and clean rooms. The food really is superb!
I went here with my family including a 6 month old and a dog. The staff are very friendly and made a fuss of the dog and wee one. We had lunch and the portions were generous, the food was fresh and tasty and reasonably priced. The desserts were big enough to share if you wanted to. I will happily go back.
We stayed for 2 nights because we had a wedding in Totnes to attend. Staff at the Hunters Lodge were very helpful, welcoming and friendly. The room was great, and the food was top quality, big helpings, everything perfectly cooked. Breakfast same, awesome! Coffee just perfection! We will certainly go again. Highly recommended. In fact, no, it was rubbish, don't go, or we'll never get in the next time we want to go!!!
