We have been custodians of this amazing pub since 2004 and our aim has always been the same, to create a home from home atmosphere where people can come together, or sit contentedly alone and enjoy great service and delicious food and drink.
When we took it on it was a one floor operation with bright orange walls, extreme lighting and identikit furniture. Minimal but important changes were immediate and 2 years later we had a big refit, giving the pub a second floor which has been home to many amazing gigs by incredible musicians, both well known and just starting out. Camden has changed a lot over the years, but its musical heritage remains strong and we are very proud to be a part of that.
2019 saw the culmination of a year long battle to purchase the pub after our landlords announced they were selling up and we could not take the risk of it being sold to developers. We are forever grateful to our amazing Hawley Heroes who supported us so valiantly in that fight.
And then came Covid. We have seen many ups and downs over the years (including a huge market fire that consumed our pub in 2008) but our love for the Hawley endures.

We were on the hunt for a Sunday roast and found this place while at Camden market. We were both stuffed having gotten the roast beef and pork. The serving size was great value. The pub is also very cozy and they have a great selection of draught beers on tap.
We wanted a Sunday roast, and that is what we got! Amazing pub, great vibe, superb food. Playlist was on point, and the wood fireplace is a nice cozy touch. Cannot recommend highly enough 🤘🤘
Traditional pub, tucked away off the hustle and bustle of Camden just enough for us to get a seat on a Sunday afternoon a couple of weeks before Christmas. Good pub food and good, friendly service. There's a garden at the back that was well used even in December.
If you are around this is the place to come and have the classic UK fish and chips! The service the food and the atmosphere of this restaurant is great! We really loved it! You have to try their famous sticky Toffee pudding with ice cream it was delicious!!!
Great place. We went mid week lunch time so found a table to sit. Prices reasonable considering the area Good food, lovely staff.
