What’s on the menu? All your family favourites! Whether it’s an All Day Breakfast kind of day, a beer and a Beef Burger kind of day, or you just fancy Fish & Chips for a change... you’ll find there’s plenty to tickle your taste buds on our menu.
We like to look after your wallet, too. Whenever you come to The Harrier you can get a great deal, as well as a great meal. There’s a different deal every day of the week. The fun doesn’t have to stop when you finish your meal either. One of the great things about the Harrier is that there’s so much to see and do nearby. For example, we’re in easy driving distance of: Peterborough Museum, Activity World and Flag Fen Archaeology Park.
We are a group of 6 who regularly have a mid week lunch - food quality is very good, freshly cooked and a very good price. Accept it’s a “pub” atmosphere as opposed to a restaurant but although busy we have never had a issue, we will continue to enjoy our visits
Three of us went for lunch on Sunday and I was really disappointed. It was really noisy with the lunch time beer drinkers, which can't be helped. We found a table and ordered on line. I ordered the Sunday roast which I have to say was awful. Three slices of beef which were really thick and hard to cut, it was a bit chewy, and there was a lot of gristle which also made it hard to cut through. I only ate one slice. The mashed potato was a yellowy colour and had a crust on the outside, so I think had been left and reheated in the oven when needed, the Yorkshire pudding was crispy at the top and soggy inside and roast potatoes looked nice but were soft. The good part was the veg, carrots and green beans. The gravy came in a gravy boat, which was nice, but had a bit of a skin on top and was really thick, hard to pour and luke warm. The whole meal was only just warm and I left most of it for all of those reasons. The two other meals from the menu were good and had no complaints. I didn't complain because it was a meal for my birthday and I wasn't paying, but it was far from satisfactory.
Good quality, freshly prepared food with a variety of choices. Nice special offers available. Very reasonable prices.
Easily found just off of the main roundabout. Plenty of free parking. There are benches outside and a small children's play area. There's also smoking outside. Inside there's TV, a pool table and a dart board. You choose your table, and order and pay at the bar with your table number.. You can also order online and pay online too. Service was very quick and sauces and cutlery were brought to the table.. This is a very social place, with children and families welcome. They're currently doing a Christmas menu but it needs booking in advance. Definitely a good choice for hearty food. Disabled toilets available.
This is a fabulous pub to visit. The staff are so friendly and helpful, they all seem to be genuinely wanting to make sure you have a great time. The food is brilliantly prepared by people who really know how to cook. I can honestly say, I have never been to a nicer pub, and if the rest of the chain are as good as The Harrier, then I'd bet they will always be in business. Definitely a 5* pub.
