Very nice place for a Thursday lunch, good choice of food, very well prepared. A pleasant country pub. I particularly enjoyed the sea bass.
Stopped here for lunch and we were very impressed. The staff were great very friendly and helpful, we had small fish and chips which were delicious and quite a decent size. Nice warm and cozy with fires and log burners on the go.
Perfect pub to arrive at on a cold January day to sit infront of a warm fire, sup ale and eat a plate of cheesy chips. ( cyclist)
We discovered this pub on a walk some time ago, but understand it has now been taken over. Rang ahead and reserved a table for 4 for Sunday lunch. I had a very nice Sunday roast beef and Yorkshire pudding, my other half the lamb and our friends the fish and chips. All were good, but for me the starters were stand out, the Trout pate was just superb. Good beer on tap, nice wine selection from what I saw, though we didn't have any. The only criticism would be the slightly limited pudding menu, but that is being picky! Staff were fabulous, attentive without being over the top. Overall very nice.
We stopped at the Half Moon and Spread Eagle for a drink whilst out on a walk around Micheldever. The staff were friendly, the pub looked clean and very welcoming. The food we saw come out looked really nice. We managed to sit outside and the garden was large with plenty of seating available. We will have to go back again but for food next time.
