Brilliant little local pub. Couldn't ask for anymore, food was excellent, service excellent and the atmosphere was amazing. Excatly what we wanted on our trip to Norfolk, A local pub with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. So good went back for breakfast the morning after.
Very friendly and great food, decent portions. Only issue I had was that the dining room was quite cool when we arrived, though to be fair it did warm up reasonably quickly.
Visited today and really impressed. Warm welcome from landlady , landlord (chef) & other customers. Food was fantastic. Best steak & mushroom pie my wife has ever eaten, with proper home made chips. I had the Sunday turkey roast which was also outstanding. Highly recommend this proper local pub. Beer was also VERY GOOD. Great value and we will be back .
Great little gem of a pub. Nice staff, nice atmosphere. Food was fantastic. Boy had burger as usual, loved it and it came with perfectly cooked homemade chips. His ma had roast beef Sunday roast and loved every morsal of the completely homemade meal, with fresh quality veg and roasts and a mammoth Yorkshire. I had a mushroom pasta bake with homemade garlic bread, which I can honestly say was the nicest veggy meal I've ever had. Perfect. Only wish I wasn't too stuffed to try any of the deserts.
Only 1.5 miles from my son and family's home so took my grandchildren for lunch when we popped over. Although the decor is rather quaint the food is absolutely delicious, home cooked and the chips were superb! Good gluten free options so I had the sweet and sour salmon, my granddaughter had gammon, my grandson had the steak as did my friend. They were all perfectly cooked, delicious and apart from a few chips on one plate consumed entirely. Unfortunately we didn't have room for desert but will be back again next time I visit to bring the rest of the family. Definitely a hidden gem!
