You can find The Golden Lion on the main street in Ashton-In-Makerfield. We have a live band every Saturday and acoustic singer every Sunday. “Lions Den” cocktail bar can be found upstairs which is also available for private hire. We have an external drinking area to the rear. Cask ales are available and we show all live sport on our big screen and multiple TV’s.

Holts black beer is delicious thats why we go there. Not many pubs sell it. Atmosphere is good and bar staff excellent

Not been in here for years, good old fashioned pub as they should be, brought back lots of memories, if your passing call in for a drink
The shortest pub crawl after find this gem. Toilets were so nice and clean, lovely friendly staff, decent outside space and it’s so cheap! 2 pints for £5.35. Will definitely be back soon :)
